Langwick and surroundings

Guess what? I got to the end, a whole year of writing. At 90+ pages and 26k+ words I feel like it's been quite an achievement. Some times were hard, others flowed easily.

All the pamphlets are here, and my plan is to update them for the changes in the latest play test version of Treasured Possessions. Then, rearrange them into a more sensible format, currently 4 booklets (Village & Lore, Locations, Adventures, Creatures). There are a handful of other bits that I created during the year but never published that I'll add in.

I had a blast doing this and I hope you've enjoyed it. Best wishes for 2024!

Langwick is a small village with a small population. It sits at the foot of a valley with a glacier advancing down from the heights.

This is the page for my entry for #dungeon23 - the idea is to expand each of the twelve areas over the course of a year. During that time, I'll provide locations, encounters, inhabitants of the village and some of the lore of the area. The areas were generated with the 13x4 area table that is in the files.

I'll be writing with the game I'm writing, Treasured Possessions in mind. Players are spirits, given the job of protecting the village and needing to borrow the bodies of the inhabitants in order to interact with the physical world. Stats, where provided will be provided for Treasured Possessions but the whole thing can also be considered system agnostic and be adapted for other rulesets.

I'm putting this page here now to keep me on the straight and narrow. Hopefully it will push me on to keep working on this jam through the year. I intend to update every month with the areas that have been developed.
